ABOUT

Marcos Sobral was born in Lisbon, and since he can remember, he always felt drawn and had a huge passion for photography. Following his passion, in 2004 he went to Barcelona to study Photography in I.E.F.C. (Institut d´Estudis Fotogràfics de Catalunya) where he studied for 3 years, being the last year, a year where he took 3 specializations : Travel Photography, Fashion Photography and Nude Photography.

Since then he has published in a big variety of publications, from National Geographic, to Altair, Blue Travel, PARQ Magazine, among many others, and he won several international prizes such as a Commended Award in the Wildlife Photographer of the Year in 2013, a Highly Commended Award in Environmental Photographer Of The Year 2010, a 1º Place in BES/Cais Prize in 2008, a Highly Commended Award in Environmental Photographer Of The Year 2011, a 1st place in the Pin Up photography contest of "The Society of International Fashion and Glamour Photographers, a Commended Award in the Living Planet organized by The Society of Nature and Wildlife Photographers in London, a Commended Award in Environmental Photographer Of The Year 2014, and a Winning photograph in the Urban Photographer Of The Year, in the 11:00 pm category.
